Free Digital Frames... Hand drawn by Gretchen

Guess who got a Bamboo Capture for Christmas?!!!!!!!!!! I have been playing for days, learning how to make doodle broders, clip art.... love it, love it! I compressed a zip file, free on tpt, with 14 hand drawn borders for your fun and use.... I hope they work in your documents! Click here for a quick link to TPT store.... Hopefully no more drawing and scanning for us. This should help us up our game and make our products more polished!

Getting ready for a New Year with the story, Chinatown.

Students will become familiar with Chinese culture and celebrate New Years Day by writing a New Year's Resolution and making a parade of dragons.  Gretchen and I decided it was the perfect time to share this story with our students.

Getting ready for Christmas!

How stinking cute are these cookies? The awesome room mom showed up today with the Grinch movie and a special treat for the kids... homemade yummy cookies, Grinch punch, green candy canes and green twizzlers. Kids loved it! Tomorrow is the holiday parties. Holly and I are making gingerbread houses with the kids.... our holiday tradition! Happy Holidays!

In Memoriam

We are so very saddened. We witnessed a teacher's and a parent's worst nightmare.

Freebie: am and pm sorting game

This week we are still studying time. I searched everywhere for a simple game to use during our Math Workshop segment that worked with a.m. and p.m.. I gave up and made this. It's very simple: a map with a.m. and p.m. and 18 cards to cut out. The kids will read the selections and sort onto a.m. or p.m.. I also made a page that has two frames for a simple drawing of things you do in the am and pm. for my fast finishers.  I used free worksheets that I found on the internet for the cards. Click here if you would like a copy!

So I am totally obsessed with the 3 A.M. Teacher's borders. She had this as a freebie on TPT and it worked perfectly for the shades of meaning project that has been rolling around in my head. TOO Excited! Click the poster for a copy to use. Thanks 3AM teacher! See her button on the side to go to her blog. Too Cute.

The project turned out great! It has 6 posters and a booklet to use for teaching shades of meaning. I am excited to use. Some of our team mates are trying it out next week- They'll be my guinea pigs to get any kinks out.
